What is SJ's?
SJ's IS an integral part of the life of St John's as a multi-use venue.
SJ's is used by groups, events and activities across the whole of church life, from toddler groups to hearing aid clinics, youth work to craft sessions or simply a place to meet friends and have a coffee. It is there for people in our community, and not just for those who are part of St John’s.
There is also a quiet counselling room used by local charities and the church to give people a private and confidential place to chat.
Regular activities include:
Coffee Morning: Monday 9:30am - 12noon
An opportunity to relax over a drink and piece of cake, with space to chat, read or hook up to the wi-fi.
CareerCafe: Wednesday 1:00pm - 7:00pm
A chance to receive expert careers advice free of charge. Either drop in or book an appointment at firstname.lastname@example.org
Craft Session : Friday 10:00am – 12noon (Except 3rd Friday of the month)
All ages welcome to an opportunity to flex your creative muscles. We make something different every week, and of course, enjoy tea and biscuits at the same time.
Hearing Aid Clinic : 3rd Friday of the month, 10.00am – 12 noon
Free and open to all on 3rd Friday each month between 10:00am – 12:00 noon

We are not trained Counsellors, but a number of our volunteers have experience in pastoral care and listening. If you want a chance to discuss something in confidence, ask one of the SJ's volunteers and arrangements can be made for you to speak openly with someone in accordance with Safeguarding recommendations.
